Our most recent interviewee is our vice president and CFO, Jade Mayer. Below he answers some of our most pressing questions!
Q: How long have you been with Brooks Resources?
A: I started with Brooks Resources Corporation as the Corporate Controller on Monday, March 15, 1999. I remember the date well as I had been living in New Jersey and was very excited about moving back to Bend. I am currently the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Brooks.
Q: What are some of your daily tasks in your role, and what do you like most about it?
I spend a great deal of time problem solving various real estate development issues. I’m passionate about helping create cool neighborhoods that will stand the test of time and have a favorable impact on our community.
Q: What is the best way to start the day?
A cup of coffee while reading the local newspaper.
Q: Who inspires you?
Mike Hollern [Brooks Resources Chairman of the Board] inspires me to be a better person every day. [Jade, we agree!]
Q: What are your favorite things to do when you aren’t working?
I love to cross country mountain bike, drink whiskey, and cook.
Q: What skill would you like to master?
I would enjoy being a master of wonderful cooking.
Q: What is your favorite thing about working for Brooks Resources?
Brooks Resources is my family as most of us have been with Brooks for several years.

I hope to spend time on the beautiful island of Hawaii.

A long mountain bike ride…
Q: Tell me a little bit about your family.
My wife makes me a better person and my dog reminds me to enjoy the little things in life.
