Bend, Oregon real estate company hires certified public accountant Carrie Cohen
Bend, Oregon— Brooks Resources Corporation today announced that Carrie Cohen has been hired as controller for the company. In this position, Cohen will be responsible for recording and reporting the financial results of operations, measuring performance and developing and monitoring control systems. Cohen has more than 10 years experience in corporate accounting.
“Carrie’s proven track record of financial leadership, and her commitment to accuracy makes her the perfect person for this detail-oriented position,” said Jade Mayer, Chief Financial Officer for Brooks Resources. “She brings positive energy and solid work experience to our team.”
Cohen will also be responsible for controlling financial systems, reports, forecasts and budgets for the company, while managing accountants across the Brooks Resources family of companies. She will also be preparing board books, audits, taxes and appraisals for the company on a regular basis.
Prior to joining Brooks Resources, Cohen was a corporate accounting manager with Gradient Resources and assistant controller with Edge Wireless. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Washington State University, and has been a certified public accountant in the state of Oregon since 2000.
