At The Giving Plate, a crucial Bend service organization, the spirit of Christmas is set to jingle with an array of heartwarming events that promise to spread joy and create lasting memories for families in need.
Through the Jingle Store, Jingle Christmas Makeovers, and Santa’s Plate, we invite you to join The Giving Plate in making this Christmas truly special for everyone.
Jingle Store Event: December 15th & 16th, 2023
Location: Riverhouse Convention Center
The Jingle Store is where the magic begins. Each child aged 2-17 receives $10 in Jingle Bucks to shop for gifts. And there’s much to delight in – from meeting Santa, snowy princesses, and Buddy the Elf to exploring the magical gingerbread house and Candy Cane Lane Toy Store for surprises.
Last year, The Giving Plate’s Jingle Store welcomed 850 low-income children, and this year, they are expanding to accommodate 900 children, ensuring that more little hearts experience the joy of Christmas.
Jingle Christmas Makeovers
This Christmas, The Giving Plate is offering a heartwarming opportunity for families with children aged 0-17. Up to four families will receive a “Christmas Makeover” valued at up to $2,500, thanks to the generosity of local community groups and organizations.
Families apply online, sharing their stories for a chance to be chosen by our sponsors. Each sponsor will then use their $2,500 to bring joy and blessings to their sponsored family during the holiday season. While the application for families has closed, you can still support by becoming a sponsor or donating.
Santa’s Plate: December 17th & 18th, 2023
Location: Riverhouse Convention Center
Cost: $30 per child (Ages 1-17)
Santa’s Plate takes the magic of the Jingle Store to a whole new level. Families visiting will be transported through enchanting scenes, allowing children to meet Santa, Buddy the Elf, Star Wars characters, ballerinas, and princesses. The highlight? A child gets to create their very own Santa’s Cookie Plate – a cherished keepsake for years to come. When families buy a ticket for their kids, they also give a low-income child in the community to enjoy The Jingle Store for free. It’s not just an event; it’s a heartfelt experience that will create lasting holiday memories for all who attend.
Toy Donations and Support
