The forty-year-long annual tradition of the Brooks Resources wall calendar continues – with a twist. We are issuing our first-ever photo contest to find the perfect image to grace the walls of Central Oregon homes and businesses in the coming year.
In the past, we have featured a commissioned regional scene by a professional photographer from the area on the calendar. This year, we are asking for your participation by holding a call for images with submissions judged by the Brooks Resources team. The winner will not only have their photograph featured on the wall calendar, but they will also receive a grand prize of $1,500.
The theme of the 2022 Wall Calendar is “Resilience,” a nod to the events of the past few months and a celebration of Central Oregon’s enduring spirit of resilience. We are requesting that artists submit a statement with each image (up to three per artist) to further illustrate how the photo relates to the contest theme. Submissions to the photo contest will be accepted through November 5 (deadline extended!) and can be made online by registering for a free CAFE call for entry account.

We know that we are not alone in our love for this annual tradition, and that many people around the region anticipate the release of the wall calendar each year. That’s why we wanted to do something a little different and create a themed photo contest. We can’t wait to see your submissions!
The 2022 Calendar will be released in early December, and will be available for free at 409 NW Franklin Avenue.
