Valerie Yost

Director of Marketing

For 20 years, Valerie has led brand strategy and marketing efforts for Brooks Resources’ real estate developments, including the award-winning mixed-use neighborhood of NorthWest Crossing. She now oversees marketing and communications for Discovery West, a new mixed-use community in Bend, Oregon. Throughout her career, Valerie has supported local business owners in creating vibrant commercial districts, and she has played a key role in the planning and execution of commercial building projects—from interior design to furniture and art curation.

Valerie has collaborated with artists, city officials, and community partners including the City of Bend, Visit Bend, and Bend Park & Recreation District to integrate public art into the neighborhoods she markets. Her community involvement includes nine years as administrator of the nonprofit lecture series Building a Better Bend, co-facilitating a marketing team through Opportunity Knocks, and serving on the board of the Family Access Network Foundation, where she is a past chair. Valerie is also a proud Leadership Bend alum (Class of 2007) and a licensed real estate broker in Oregon.
