Some of those efforts include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creating a Firewise Committee in North Rim and receiving designation as\u00a0a Firewise Community<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to NFPA standards and Firewise in The Tree Farm community<\/li>\n<li>Staff volunteer time serving on the Central Oregon Cohesive Strategy Steering Committee<\/li>\n<li>Participating in the first learning lab promoted by the Cohesive Strategy efforts at The Tree Farm<\/li>\n<li>Staff participation in a panel at the National Association of Counties conference<\/li>\n<li>On-going desire to work with Project Wildfire, USFS and our governmental agencies to help educate our community about living in a fire-resilient landscape<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-968\" src=\"https:\/\/brooksresources.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/projectwildfireawards-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"474\" height=\"257\" \/>We congratulate all recipients of the 2017 Project Wildfire awards: Heart of Oregon Corps Cloverdale Volunteer Fire Fighter&#8217;s Association, Bend Firefighters \u00a0Local 227, \u00a0Ernie Halcon, and Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District.\u00a0 Everyone on this list is doing great work to help promote fire resilient landscapes and do their part in protecting our community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brooks Resources was honored to receive recognition by Project Wildfire last month for our efforts to educate our community and promote resilient landscapes in Central Oregon.
