Bend, Oregon – Brooks Resources Corporation has been named one of “The 100 Best Companies to Work for In Oregon” by Oregon Business magazine. A Bend-based real estate development company that delivers quality real estate products and services, Brooks Resources has been part of the Central Oregon community for nearly 100 years.

Brooks Resources’ employees nominated the company for the award, participating in a detailed survey process, which cited company support of employee charitable and volunteer activities and management’s open communication style as some of the top reasons for employee satisfaction. Brooks is one of only seven Central Oregon companies to be honored with this distinction in 2007; only about 25 Central Oregon companies have received the state-wide honor in the award’s 13 years of existence.

“We know our employees are our most valuable asset,” said Mike Hollern, CEO of Brooks Resources. “To be recognized for this award because of their positive input not only makes us proud, but keeps us focused on achieving our goal of making sure our employees are happy to work here.”

Since 1995, the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon award is an annual project executed by Oregon Business magazine. Resulting from research of statewide businesses, the award recognizes and honors Oregon companies for their commitment to creating great places for their employees to work. Selected companies were announced and celebrated at the awards luncheon on March 1, 2007 at the Oregon Convention Center.
